Beckon...

I am called to the beach; to the water; to the sea

Where I can finally allow my soul to run free.
To soak up the sun and breathe in the air
While the salt and the sand dance in my hair.

Why, you might ask, it is there that I’m free,
With the crabs and the jellyfish all around me.
It is the tide, I will say, with its motion and churn
Which speaks to my rhythms, my joy, and my yearn.

For some reason this weekend I'm really longing for the beach. Perhaps is just a result of the overwhelm from a long week, or knowing that in just two short months we'll be spending an entire week there...but I'm certainly feel the pull of the tide.

I had many hopes of getting a lot accomplished and crossed off the to-do list this weekend. I was even thinking I would perhaps get a little alone time to craft. But poor sleep and the resulting lack of motivation has me doing next to nothing and dreaming of beaches.

I hope you all are enjoying your weekend...whether you're being super productive or beach bum lazy!

Happy Sunday!

I love this image Maegan! It's so nostalgic and sunny...I can see why you're dreaming of the beach. I wasn't very productive this weekend either and with the two little ones I'm rarely blessed with a good nights rest. I do hope things start looking up for you. ♥

Great poem. I too am drawn by the sea and spend many hours dreaming of it. I used to live close to the ocean when I lived in CT but after moving to VA a year ago I'm now further inland. I really miss it. :0/

What a gorgeous photo!
I think you're aware of my love for the beach... I'm so glad you'll have an opportunity to head to the sea and breathe in the salt air and all the goodness that comes with it :)
