Independence Day...

The 4th of July has always been a rather big day in our family. Not only is it tremendously significant to our country, but it's also my Pap's birthday. My Pap passed away almost 10 years ago but I think of him so often. He truly embodied the great things about this great country. Here are some phrases that come to mind when I think of the similarities:

hard working, self-made, importance of and dedication to family, devoted to God and to his country, WWII veteran, balance of hard work and good times, loyalty, respect, old fashioned values

My Pap was so much more than the sum of these words. He was wonderful and I miss him dearly.
