In the Nick of Time {Maternity Photo Shoot}...

Last week, I had the privilege of  photographing this beautiful woman and her gorgeous growing family! At 38 and a half weeks, we were finally able to meet up one evening for an amazing photo shoot!

The sun was gorgeous and golden. The weather was perfect. And Megan, well she is just absolutely beautiful inside and out!

And her son is just about the sweetest boy I've ever met. He was so affectionate with his mama and so excited about the upcoming arrival of his baby sister!

She also has a wonderful husband...you know, the tall dark and handsome type!

Together they make such a beautiful and happy family! Within about a half an hour, we had more great shots than I could count. In fact, picking just a few to show in this post was rather difficult.

Their happiness, love, and excitement for this next chapter in their lives was almost palpable and came through in each and every image!

Megan was up for absolutely anything! I give her so much credit...being that pregnant is not easy and looking beautiful at the same time is downright miraculous! Yet, she most definitely pulled it off!

The whole family was so easy going and so much fun to photograph!

It also just happened to be Megan's birthday!

Goodness, isn't shes just stunning! Oh, and did I mention that she ended up going into labor two days later??? Want a peek at the baby girl???....

More of "Sweet Baby A" to come at a later date...she ended up being just as photogenic as the rest of her family and it's going to take me a while to get through all of her great shots, too!

Thank you, Megan and family, for allowing me to be a part of this experience with you!

Expecting {Maternity Photo Session}...

My friend Sharon is one of those people who makes life look beautiful and effortless. In fact, before I really new her, I honestly assumed that we would have absolutely nothing in common because she had it all together and I did/do not. My assumptions were obliterated quickly, however, as one conversation with this amazing woman proves how genuine and down to Earth she is. I'm blessed to have her in my life and I'm elated that she lives right down the street!

Sharon is expecting her fourth child in late June adding one more to their family of adorable children. I was so happy to be able to take her maternity portraits.

We did the family photos first thing. I was nervous, the kids were tired, the baby wasn't feeling well, and Sharon's husband has just gotten home from work. Given all of that, I still think we got a couple of good shots of the whole crew.

Once the family photos were done, Sharon was able to relax and have fun. I could have photographed her all evening! She was up for anything and was a great model!

Thank you so much, Sharon, for allowing me to photograph you and your growing family and capture this very special moment in your lives!

Maternity Session {Sneak Peek}...

I am finally getting through all the shots from Monday's night maternity shoot. My dear friend and neighbor, pregnant with her fourth{!} child was kind enough to allow me to practice my portrait skills on her and her beautiful family. I will share more about her and the shoot next week but here's a peek at our session...
