Happy Pumpkin Day...

I'm not a HUGE fan of Halloween although I do love fall traditions, pumpkins,...and candy! And I love dressing the girls up in cute and cuddly Halloween costumes. So, I thought I'd supply a little Halloween cheer for those of us who are just kind of going with the flow today (see picture above) and those who all-out LOVE the holiday (see pic. below!).

Also, I have some exciting news (as promised) about my Skin Saving Tips! Each day next week, from Monday, November 3rd through Friday, November 7th, I'll be posting a new Skin Saving Tip. Each day, Madeline Bea Soap Co. will be offering a FREE PRODUCT GIVE-AWAY to one lucky reader!!!! All you need to do to enter for the day's give-away is leave your comment on the post. You may enter each day's drawing, but you may only win once. So...stop by each day next week, read the tip of the day, leave your comment, and you could end up with a great Madeline Bea product delivered right to your door!

So Exciting...

...if you're a soapmaker. This box full of fragrance oils just arrived filled with what I need to create the remainder of my holiday soaps. These crazy great smelling oils also represent a multitude of possibilities for new and amazing holiday products...I'm thinking of new scrubs as I type!

Stop back tomorrow for an exciting announcement of how I'll be un-veiling the Skin Saving Tips I mentioned in a previous post. Here's a hint: it includes give-aways!

Yep, that's right, girl #3 is on the way...most likely. I have felt like I was having a girl from day one and although there was an umbilical cord covering some crucial areas, there was no extra appendage and we were all pretty convinced that it's a girl!

I'm finally coming out of a miserable, stuffy head, runny nose, tired, achy haze. I tried the rest and fluids thing for four days and finally today I cried "mercy" and went to the health food store for some olive leaf spray. That coupled with some Tylenol is clearing the haze and easing the pain...finally! Now I can start to focus on the impending holiday season...

Grace...

Grace does not come easily. Either your born with it or it's something you develop through life's adversity.

I was not born with grace. Sometimes I feel like I'm gaining grace with age. Sometimes I feel about as grace-less as I was at 13.

Grace, however, is something that I pray for daily. But if you know how God works, He doesn't just give you what you ask for. He teaches it to you so that you can get it on your own.

One thing I know for sure, these precious little girls are teaching me daily how to live with more grace. Holding their little hearts in the palm of my hand demands that I be the very best version of myself. And though this lesson is not easy or quick (the most important never are), it's one I am more than willing to continue to work towards. With the help of God and these amazingly beautiful little souls that I am blessed to be with every day.

Fall Picks...

Some homemade lovlies to help you savor the season...

Aaaahhh, The Smell of Busy Season...

My home is starting to smell of an amazing plethora of soaps as my marathon soapmaking continues. This weekend, I added Grapefruit Peppermint to the fragrant mix. And today I'm replenishing my stock of Perfect Pumpkin Scrub.

Also, because of a great deal of love for the Vanilla Bean Salve, I'm working on a Vanilla Bean Body Scrub to make you and your skin all cozy during the cooler months. If you belong to my mailing list, look for a Simple Skin Saving guide to come to your Inbox soon! My skin is always sensitive to climate changes so I'm trying very hard to stay on top of things this year...so far so good and I'd like to share my tips with you!

Well Wishes...

Wishing you a weekend that's as fun as a laundry basket!

After a long week of marathon soap-making, I'm ready for some much needed down time with my family. I'm hoping that our days include a trip to the bookstore so that I can pick up a little something to help me de-stress at the end of busy days this holiday season.

Yes, I'm already thinking of the holidays. I've started making my Christmas/winter soaps and I'm booking holiday home parties...I'm even in the process of ordering our holiday photo cards. (By the way, Etsy has some insanely talented graphic artists offering custom photo cards!) Christmas will be here before we know it and with me moving a bit slower these days I feel that I need to get a good head start!

Oh, and for all of you who couldn't get enough of the Vanilla Bean Hand & Body Salve at the Covered Bridge Festival, I just made a batch of Vanilla Bean Soap to go with it! Look for in the shop in about four weeks!

Half Way...

I am officially half-way through my pregnancy! And as I sit here typing, I can feel baby's tiny little limbs moving around. No matter how sick I was for those first three months, I wouldn't trade a moment of it...this amazing feeling of a little human moving within me is worth all the discomfort in the world!

Autumn In The Air...

We had a great autumn weekend taking in a fun craft show on Saturday just north of us where the foliage is even more beautiful than here.

The girls picked out their "perfect pumpkins" from the pumpkin patch and are eager to paint them!
And I finally got around to making that pumpkin pie that I've been craving!

Whirlwind Weekend...

We had an absolutely amazing time at the Covered Bridge Arts Festival this past weekend. We had beautiful weather, met some great people, and raised a nice amount for the Feel Your Boobies Foundation. It was great seeing past customers return...happy with their purchases from last year and eager to stock up again! Thanks to everyone who helped make this show such a success for us.
