Welcoming Spring...
After four straight days of rain and gloom, we are finally seeing some sun and warm weather again. We want to make good and sure that Spring doesn't think she is not wanted. So we have been out enjoying her, complimenting her, investigating her, and basking in her.
And so we found what we were looking for...and then some!
Mmmm...I think we can go ahead and fall in love with her now. It doesn't appear that she is going anywhere!
The freshness of new life is so uplifting, is it not?
I'm very excited about some fresh and exciting things coming here to this space as well in the next couple of weeks. I do very much promise to honor the prior promise I made about posting the second part of the Fostering Creativity series. However, I need a free evening to do all the typing and all of my recent evenings have been tied up filling orders for my shop liquidation. {thank you everyone who has helped me clear out my shop...there is not much left!} So that will be coming up sometime in the future, along with an artist interview and a giveaway or two. Also, a few of you have asked about how to achieve those lovely bokeh pictures from my last post so I will try to post some sort of tutorial or tips or something about that as well! But for now, we are just going to soak up some more of this sunshine and I hope you are doing the same!

these are wonderful! I am so glad that you and your little family are enjoying Spring. It's so beautiful out, isn't it. I am just in awe of all the buds, the light, the smell, the birds - all singing, the, well, everything. It makes me so at ease.
We went looking for the "signs" today too. I can't wait to get back to the park and for them to open the Fort Park April 1st, there are so many photos I want to take and so many spots I want to visit with the kiddos :)

We were loving on the sun today big time :) finally! The rain just got us down so much... I can't even put it into words. Now we're fighting off another round of colds, but at least we can see the sun!

I am indeed going out and enjoying all that Spring has to offer this year... although I have been a bit trapped inside as of late finishing up some final papers for my classes and some paintings for a few clients.
I can't wait for Cory's weekend off so we can hopefully take a lovely, refreshing walk and get some shots in.
When we get home from Florida, you better believe we'll be hunting for buds, too! And looking for evidence that she is, indeed, in Chicago for the long haul.
Such amazing photos - love having those signs of spring on my computer :) We're feeling the stretch in the days, kicking a rugby ball in the garden and yesterday we enjoyed a little extra green in our dress for St Patrick's day. Not to mention the inevitable early spring coughs and colds ;)
